Updates from Cedarbrae Mall
We’re working on our new vision for Cedarbrae!
Something exciting is happening at Cedarbrae Mall this year. You may have noticed the start to our renovation on the former 120,000+ sf Walmart box facing Lawrence Avenue East. This large box will be demised into 24 individual mixed-use units that’ll soon be home to offices and key national and local retailers, better serving the Scarborough neighbourhood.
This reimagined two-storey space will feature extensive exterior upgrades including fresh store front facades, additional public space, smoothly paved sidewalks and parking lot, and a convenient new main entry to the mall. The 16 individual ground floor units will consist of several larger format spaces facing the exterior of the mall, as well as many small-sized interior-facing units catering to local businesses.
Cedarbrae Mall serves the surrounding family-oriented neighbourhoods with over 103,325 households and a population exceeding 291,400 within a 5km radius. This exciting new renovation will better serve the Scarborough community and help attract new families and patrons to the centre. First Capital is pleased to contribute to the growth and revitalization of the Cedarbrae community and continue our work in building thriving urban neighbourhoods.
